Orange County Youth Symphony Orchestra
The Orange County Youth Symphony Orchestra, now in its 43rd season, is the official youth orchestra of Orange County. Winner of The 2012 American Prize in Orchestral Performance—Youth Orchestra Division, the non-profit OCYSO provides the highest level of pre-professional orchestral training for young musicians in Southern California.
National Police Rodeo Association
The Cowboy, the Police Officer, Military and the Firefighter are all American Heroes. The NPRA is a non-profit organization of law enforcement officers and firefighters, dedicated to the Western lifestyle, and to preserving the traditional link between cowboys and cops.
The Yorba Linda Arts Alliance
The Yorba Linda Arts Alliance was established in November, 1999 as a grassroots movement to network and promote the arts. The Arts Alliance is an umbrella organization, unifying the many arts groups and individuals.
Classical KUSC 95.1
Classical KUSC is the largest and most listened to public radio and non-profit classical music station in the country. KUSC is dedicated to preserving classical music as a living art.
Located in downtown Los Angeles, Classical KUSC broadcasts commercial-free uninterrupted classical performances. The non-profit, listener-supported station has been broadcasting for over 60 years. The station is a broadcast service of the University of Southern California
Placentia Founders Society
The Placentia Founders Society (PFS) was established in 1974 to preserve and maintain the Bradford House, which was built in 1902. Now it is a living museum, providing a glimpse into the lives of a pioneering family who made their fortune in the citrus industry.
PFS sponsors free chamber concerts and hosts hundreds of children on school and scout tours.
Mater Dolorosa
Mater Dolorosa is a Passionist Retreat Center providing a peaceful environment of prayer and reflection, and has been providing retreats since 1926. More than 3000 people experience retreats each year. Hosted programs are available for high school groups, other Catholic programs as well as many ecumenical groups.
Today, more than 10,000 individuals grace the retreat center and grounds annually including men, women married couples, people in 12-step and AA recovery, Archdiocese of Los Angeles clergy and lay persons, high school and college students, faculty, Mass participants and visitors to special events.
Friendly Center
Friendly Center assists the economically less fortunate through Programs and services, such as children and youth academic tutoring, family advocacy, supplemental food programs and emergency assistance.
With locations in Orange, Placentia, and Garden Grove we provide life-changing assistance to more than 800 families every year through our 25 programs and services. All of this is made possible through the help of our volunteers and the financial support from our donors--allowing Friendly Center to make a difference every day in the lives of children, families and seniors in need.
Taller San Jose
Taller San Jose is an innovative program in Central Orange County that empowers young adults--who have fallen through the cracks of all existing support services—to move out of poverty by teaching them how to get and keep employment with a living wage.
OFFERING HOPE Founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange in 1995 in Santa Ana, California, Taller San Jose provides unemployed, undereducated and unskilled young adults, who have gotten off track in life, with the job training and life skills necessary to support themselves and their families. At Taller San Jose, troubled young people work to both turn their lives around and develop job skills for a brighter future.
HIS House Shelter
Homeless Intervention Shelter was founded in 1989 by Placentia Presbeteryian Church and has been home to over 2,000 singles families and children. The program is one of the few shelters in Orange Couinty to accept single fathers with children.
Fullerton College Foundation
Fullerton College Foundation, Inc. exists to promote Fullerton College and enhance the lives of its students by raising and accepting resources for scholarships, grants, programmatic and institutional support. Funding for our scholarship program is made possible by donations from individuals, businesses, corporations and private foundations. In keeping with the college's focus on preparing students to become successful learners, the Foundation is proud to offer an endowed scholarship program that enables students in nearly every field of study to achieve their educational goals.
Placentia Community Foundation
The Placentia Community Foundation solicits, receives, invests and makes grants of funds, property and other resources to provide direct charitable services to aid, sponsor, promote, advance and assist worthy activities, programs and services in the City of Placentia to further cultural, recreational, social, historical, and civic events and causes.
